Mildred’s Temple Kitchen
Mildred’s Temple Kitchen opened with a heartfelt philosophy. We’re here because we love food, people and the simple pleasures of life: our temple is the place where we practice our devotion.
Well hidden in the heart of Liberty Village, Mildred’s Temple Kitchen reflects our commitment to providing locally sourced, seasonal ingredients, simply and sumptuously prepared. Bright and industrial, yet relaxing and intimate, the warmth of Mildred’s lingers long after the guests have gone home.
Great brunch place. We arrived just a bit before 9:30 and were narrowly able to get a seat in the first wave of available tables. The meals are excellent (especially the hyped up blueberry waffles), but I have to also highlight how amazing the customer service was

From the first, we wanted to take our favorite mealtime ingredients and creatively expand their culinary taste delights across not just breakfast and brunch but also to lunch and dinner—set in a welcoming and energetic bar and café ambiance.
This new level of innovation has led us to today’s satisfying and diverse eggspectation menu ranging from freshly prepared artisanal brioche French toast, thin French crepes, Belgian waffles, fluffy buttermilk pancakes, pastas, burgers, seafood, steak and—of course—eggs benedict! Those Montreal beginnings have grown to fit today’s fresh, clean, and very tasty modern American cuisine.
Soo good! The menu looks amazing and usually I’d go for eggs Benny but just had it the day before so I opted for French toast!

At Karine’s, we value our customers suggestions and tailored our menu specifically to those who are looking for Gluten Free and Vegan products!
This place was amazing! The best, most friendly service and a hardy, wholesome breakfast. Fruit is cut fresh (no preservatives!), and portions are big and price is very reasonable. Lots of vegan options too! Would come back again!

The George Street Diner
For the first time in 13 years, the day before St Patrick’s Day, the diner turned the gas off on the grill, shut off the water and closed the doors. The staff left with bus pans of food and what was left went to the local homeless shelter.
A sad day at the diner which is usually “the life of the party”. March has always been the catch up month after a dry first quarter, but there will be no catching up this quarter. The diner family, what a beautiful bunch of the brilliant personalities — diner folks are the hardest working in the industry, getting to work at 6am and serving people who just woke up!
Incredible service from everyone being cheerful and supportive. Our waiter stood out even in this quality team. Alas I didn’t get his name. Being Irish I had the Ultimate Irish Breakfast, Holly had the standard and we shared. Everything was superb, but for me the blood pudding side really shined.

Really enjoyed my experience here! The ambiance was right and the food and drink were fantastic. The dark and stormy cocktail was well prepared and tasted refreshing. The chicken and waffles was incredibly well balanced. Just the right amount of sweetness from the syrup, the fried chicken wasn’t greasy at all, and the slaw on top helped keep it vibrant.
